St Paul's Carnival

Not quite sure your message is re the Carnival. You state that the Carnival receives over £150,000 in funding before donations - yet fail to mention that this money comes from the Arts Council and the City Council, which you then argue are trying to control the event, and take it away from local residents. So effectively you want the Carnival to be exactly what you want it to be yet still expect the 'evil state' still to stump up the money each year? The EDL march reference is also somewhat misleading - how many people did that attract - hardly the 90,000 people that attend the carnival was it? you seriously expect an event that attracts 90,000 people to have no Policing. If you do accept there needs to be a Police presence, then it does need to be paid for. If you feel that strongly about the Carnival, why not get involved in fund raising for it?

Brilliant Publication

Brilliant!

Just read the first issue from cover-to-cover in one sitting. I must admit I was expecting to read a piece of individualist drivel written in pseudo-poetry but instead found myself agreeing with pretty much everything you've said! Written in an easily comprehensible manner as well.

Well done, when does issue #2 come out?
