Environmental Charity Wants to buy Ark Royal for Floating Rainforest

Reverend Peter Nichols | 10.09.2012 16:53 | Animal Liberation | Climate Chaos | Ecology | World

Recent news that the Royal Navy aircraft carrier the Ark Royal is about to be sold for scrap metal has inspired the Earth Aid Environmental Campaign to renew its efforts to try to raise funds to buy the vessel and turn it into a floating rainforest and animal protection ship.
Environmental campaigners are seeking to raise about ten million pounds to try to buy the Ark Royal to save it from being scrapped and to take it to Antarctica as a floating rainforest full of endangered animals to try to create a brave new world for humanity and all the plants and creatures as well.

Many scientists and environmentalists believe that all life on earth, including the human race, is facing extinction this century as a result of global warming and climate change and that as the Antarctic continues to warm up quickly it is likely to become the only region left on the planet where any life will be able to survive for much longer.
With floods, droughts, famines, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and forest fires increasing alarmingly all over the world many concerned environmental campaigners have already given up on protesting about the damage being caused by the burning of fossil fuels and they have packed their bags and left for higher ground.
The Earth Aid Environmental Campaign is appealing for some very serious and urgent support from other environmental campaign groups and organisations to help us spread the word and raise the necessary funds to buy the Ark Royal and to pay for the fuel and food that will be needed for the long voyage to the Antarctic.
All our friends are welcome to join us on this historic epic adventure to try to save humanity from being driven to extinction this century by the banks, governments, and fossil fuel industries that are destroying the earth and killing the human race.
Anyone who is interested in coming with us to the promised land and bringing their animals as well can call me personally at any time on 07883242168 (Three) or you can contact me by email or on Facebook at Nick Martian.
Thank you.

Antarctica!

10.09.2012 17:21

Was with this until they wrote that the floating rainforest will be going near one of the coldest places on the planet, is there something I'm missing in that?

Off-shore international waters yes, some climate that's appropiate for the plants and any possible animals, their obviously not going to be large are they? bees, insects potentially for pollination, but thinking about it your not really going to have the free range space for animals even about the Ark Royal, couple of token grazing herbivores maybe.

Have had similar thoughts about what we could do with decommissioned oil drilling platforms, sustainable off shore floating villages?

Nowhere else to go...

10.09.2012 18:13

Antarctica is melting and becoming habitable as a result of global warming while the rest of the planet is getting so hot it is becoming uninhabitable.
Scientists say that by the end of this century all life on earth will be extinct.
Hopefully we will get as many different animals as possible and a few humans as well to try to start all over again.

It wasn't supposed to be funny

Worldwide flooding is expected at any time now.
All the major coastal cities in the world are likely to be under water very soon, including London, Tokyo, and New York.
Thank you for appreciating my work.
You might enjoy my report "Can You Save the Human Race?" which describes in detail how and why humanity will become extinct this century as a result of global warming.
That's not supposed to be funny either, but I do have a dark little chuckle every so often when nobody else is watching just to cheer myself up.

Whats the point?

10.09.2012 21:55

If the World is getting hotter and Antarctica will be livable, why not just move there at the appropriate time - its too cold there at the moment - its kinda covered in snow!

It aint going to heat up overnight, I'm sure there will be at least a week's warning of impending doom from being cooked to death.

Also, you want £10million so you can go on a jaunt whilst the rest of us fry?

Arn't you meant to build this Ark with your own bare hands as per the Bible says?

my response

Snags.

I heard the Ark Royal was going for £3 million. I assumed it had been put beyond certain uses.

The fuel consumption of these vessels is astronomical.

pit stop

Run it on biofuel
