Fernando António dos Santos is Number 1 on London’s Instrumental Music Chart

In London since January 2012, Fernando António dos Santos has just reached number 1 on Reverbnation's Londoner Instrumental Music Chart.

Fernando shares the name and nationality with the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, and is also known in the independent music world as Doio Kaosos. He’s a pianist, composer and music producer, passionate about 3D animation and his artistic maturity makes the music he creates a journey of the senses and of the spirit to the most beautiful and vibrant worlds.

In the most recent years he has earned international recognition in independent music charts, with classic like albums such as Aragón El Griffin, Dream Astronaut, Tuvalu, Mikdash and Two Butterflies Out Of The Metro, reaching Number 5 in New York’s Classical Chart on the Reverbnation platform and, in August 2012, Number 1 on the instrumental music chart for London. Fernando has been showcasing his original work in London and participating as improvisational musician in performances by London Playback Theatre, company which also features Claudia Vau, singer and lyricist with whom Fernando is working on a new musical project.

Over his career 20 plus years, he worked with important names of Portuguese music scene - Lena D'Agua (in the Beatnicks band), Lara Li, Cândida Branca Flor, Carlos Paião (Vamos Lá Cambada) e Raul Indipwo (Sô Santo) - and he was part of the bands Doyo, Davinci, Zanzibar (for the Terra De Ninguém album), as well as the German band Waveband, who he considers his favorite until his current project with Claudia Vau.

Fernando António dos Santos created the original soundtrack for various soap operas and television programs by TV sations RTP and SIC (Flash Moda, Acontecimentos Lda, Eterno Feminino, Labirinto, Tal Pai Tal Filho, Nas Brumas da Memória, Destino-X, Duende Verde, among others) as well as original music for institutional films and commercials, "giving sound" to campaigns like CTT - EScrever fica mais perto, Nesquik, Shockdrink, Passport Whisky, Shivas, Amstrad Computers and Charmis (perfumes). He was also responsible for the music of several political campaigns.

"Music, when well chosen, can make a brand become recognized by anyone, simply by the its rhythm. My work in this area has always been successful. The advertising campaigns I worked in were happy pieces of work, "says Fernando António.

It is, however, as a independent composer and producer that Fernando creates better and more freely. That is why he wants to showcase his work live and he’s available for presentation concerts in Portugal and in other countries.
