EMERGENCY DEMONSTRATION in solidarity with South African miners. SATURDAY 4pm - 6pm. Lonmin HQ, 4 Grosvenor Place London SW1X 7Y.

Two days ago striking miners at Marikana platinum mine in South Africa were murdered by police. The mine is run by Lonmin whose headquarters are in London. In solidarity with their families, the community, and miners who are still on strike, please come to protest outside the Lonmin headquarters at 4 Grosvenor Place. Bring placards and noise.

Perhaps if the miners hadn't charged the police like idiots they'd still be alive. No sympathy what so ever, if you attack the police you have no right to complain when they defend themselves!

In any case the miners weren't just striking the two rival union factions were physically assaulting each other resulting in people being seriously wounded. The police had no choice but to intervene in order to quell the disturbance. Anyone who says otherwise is distorting the truth and is guilty of lying.
