Its been 7 weeks since we arrived on the disused land at the ex-Brunel university, Runnymede Campus.  Since then we have been busy building an eco-village community based on sustainable methods.  This is our latest regular report.

Having been evicted three times from the Runnymede Campus, with the associated flurries of activity from High Court enforcement officers, police officers strewn with bundles of court papers, things have settled down at Runnymede since the last eviction attempt over 3 weeks ago.  Meanwhile, we villagers carry on digging, building and innovating in our woodland home.  Recent construction developments include the extension to the 'Anglo Saxon Style' longhouse, the beginnings of a luxury long drop composting toilet and washing area 8-) as well several personal dwellings for the residents.

We've also made progress in our growing area planting a variety of edible plants: incluing Dog Roses (which produces Rose Hips, Raspberries, Spinach, Squash, Jasmine, Climbing Beans, Potatoes and Sunflowers.  We'll soon be planting some fruit trees too.

We're also gearing up for a 'Little Green Gathering' from Saturday 11th August until Sunday 12th August.  We'll be laying on several workshops, film screenings, talks, fireside entertainment and wild food.  For more info, please check: www.diggers2012.wordpress.com and Indymedia London.

Everyone's welcome to visit/stay at Runnymede Eco-Village.  For directions and map, please visit: www.diggers2012.wordpress.com Our nearest train station is Egham served be regular train services from London Waterloo.
