The real threat comes from Islamic extremists not from drunken nationalists like the EDL. When have the left or anarchist movement ever spoken out against Islamic extremism other than to try to claim that Islamic terrorist atrocities like 9/11 and 7/7 where inside jobs conducted by MI5 and the CIA or by the Illuminati. Your ideology seems to be lets confront the EDL because their stupid marches are not going to stop the rise of extremist Islam but netheir did the mass anti-war marches stop the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq so should people have not spoken out against those? Surely it is better to speak out against something which is bad even if speaking out against it will achieve nothing than to stay silent.
