Mainshill Open Cast Coal Site shut down!

At 10:00 this morning a group of 45 activists invaded Scottish Coal’s Mainshill Open Cast Coal Site near Douglas, South Lanarkshire, and are currently occupying machinery and preventing coaling operations on the site.
The action will continue until after the consented time for work at the site has passed, meaning that all operations will be shut down until Monday. This is the first action at Take Back the Land! - the action camp in the Douglas Valley will be up and running until the 18th July. Updates and photos to follow!
