In Bristol this Saturday the EDL plan to march. In the face of this the city has seen a spate of mobilization in opposition to the march. Bristol antifascists and friends have been out and about over the last two months warning people of the coming EDL march and encouraging mass opposition. They are calling for people to meet around Bristol Temple Meads at 11am to line the streets. Also see their website and twitter feed @stopEDL for live updates.

Others such as trade union groups and more are meeting at the fountains at 11am as a counter demo.

You hate the EDL because they tell the truth!

You people only hate the EDL because they tell the truth that Islamic extremism is a serious and growing threat in Britain. You people know that too but don't want to face up to the threat because fighting against Islamic extremism isn't as trendy as fighting against the government and against the system.
