villa friekens under threat

oh shit, villa friekens might get evicted, on the initiative of the state rather than the owner - that sucks

here's a bad internets translation of the ravage (althernative media) story:

Friekens vacated because the prosecutor wants

AMSTERDAM, SE 3 JUNI 2012 - Villa Friekens in Amsterdam-Noord, the justice added to the list of this month to vacate squats. A senseless operation as there are no concrete plans for the site.

"Friekens cleared for vacancy. Under this headline calling the residents and users of the tenth anniversary of the cracked area Kadoelenweg in Amsterdam-North sympathizers on their signatures to place a petition. It is one of the means of standing scheduled for 20 June to avoid eviction.

Reportedly this is not senseless expertise at the request of the owner, Imtech Building Services BV West, but at the insistence of the prosecution of Amsterdam. It is the police themselves that the owner has abandoned the premises with the offer to its hangar at the former Land Kiekens evacuated condition. Imtech will then need only to ensure that the land was not re-cracked.

A curious state of affairs, since the city council in the past has indicated no squats to vacate where no immediate plans for it. No vacancy for eviction so, though this administrative appointment in the practice violated. The list of properties as directed by the cracker ban has since been vacated and unoccupied, has become impressive.

Besides the squatters is the SP of North district council not amused. "These people should not of such a field to chase the fallow years then leave. Then you wait until the crisis is over and it can be built," says SP leader Daniel Peters. "This is one of those unique fringes in the city."

When questioned, the SP was the district council of Amsterdam North also surprised about the upcoming eviction. There are no new plans in the district known. In 2009 the original building plan was withdrawn because of the economic crisis. City borough Rob Post is, partly at the request of the SP, the evacuation in conversation with the mayor.

Even residents of the cracked sanctuary are not waiting for an evacuation. They are terrified that if in the future once homes are built on Kadoelenweg 360, the adjacent Wilmkebreekpolder the kick goes. This represents a unique unprotected nature of 400 years old, owned by developer Amvest. Preservation of Nature has placed a bid on the polder, but Amvest asked too much.
