I am standing for Police & Crime Commissioner For Sussex David Joe Neilson
I am setting up this new complaints against Sussex Police Officers service.
C.A.S.P COMPLAINTS AGAINST SUSSEX POLICE
I am going to see that this service works and the public trust this service.
Outline as to how it will work.
Firstly on the Sussex Police Commissioners website their will be a list of complaints made against Police Officers and their out come so as in the past complaints are covered up this will not happen
C.A.S.P online complaints form or you may get the form from police stations or Council offices.
As soon as you make a complaint to C.A.S.P it will go in to their computer.
The Complaint can ask for any documents she or he believes the Police may have or be hiding
All interviews with Police Officers and Complainants will be Videoed
I understand that some people are frighten to make a complaint or cannot explain their complaint.
I am hoping that solicitors will volunteer as Complaints Service Officers to help Complainants put their case forward
C.A.S.P will be directly responsible to me if necessary the Anti Corruption unit A.C.U will become involved.
As in the passed there will be no cover ups or underhand pay offs
I am very concerned about the IPCC the public do not trust them nor do I.
I feel that they have no creditability it seems that they whitewash most cases
