London demo in support of prisoner John Bowden

Monday 11th June.

To protest at the harrassment currently being faced by long-term prison resister John Bowden, and as part of the Day of Action in support of him (see  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2012/05/496430.html) there will be a demonstration outside the London offices of the Parole Board on Monday 11th June. 99-105 Horsferry Road, London, SW1P 2MX. Demo starts at Midday.

the anarchist way is not to INITIATE force, to only use force to repel force being used against us. Only the INITIATION of force is violence. Violence means to violate the Non Aggression Principal, and aggression is to INITIATE force against others.

This is the anarchist way because anarchists do not surrender to hierarchical "authority", in the same way as law abiding citizens of the state, because hierarchical authority is imposed by coercion, which is a breach of the Non Aggression Principal.

No one is defending themselves or their property or anyone else from John Bowden the state is aggressing against him.

he's a good friend and comrade to me. i trust him entirely. have known him for about 8 years now.

he did an awful thing, 30 years ago, for which he was originally sentenced, and which he has spoken about without excusing in any way.

since then he has remained in prison years and years after his co-accused were released because they'd done their time (even murders get let out eventually - unless they are politically active).

he remains inside because of his political activities, his unwillingness to grass on other comrades, and his constant speaking out against racism and other oppressions within the prison system.

get your facts before you spout nonsense, trolls.

If some one dose a terrible thing, they need help and we need help to investigate what led to the crime. We can't stop future crimes without discovering what caused them (there is no such thing as evil demons) Has John dealt with the issues of his past, have we dealt with our issues of Johns past, can he help us to comprehend, and to help others from following the same path?

This sort of stuff doesn't get dealt with in prison

I see Barnett or some lowlife screw has been spouting shit again. We certainly don't need a lecture on anarchism from you troll! John Bowden has sacrificed years of his life for his political principles. Apart from a handful of friends and comrades, and a few stamps, what has he ever gained from the Anarchist movement? Even the state don't just define John Bowden by the crime he committed 30 years ago (if they did he'd have been free long ago), they define him as a prison militant and a political activist. I've known John 15 years, have spent many, many hours with him, and I regard it as a tragedy he's had to spend a lifetime in jail having to deal with jumped up little shits like Brendan Barnett.
