Why I am saying goodbye to the newswire.

Earlier today a comment was made to a post, that comment said,

""a brief scan indicates a lot of conspiracy theory nonsense mingled with a few half-truths and some complete bullshit. "

Regretfully that applies to a large amount of what is now posted here. Gone are the days when this was an actual source of 'news'.

Look at the threads this month, the usual Israel obsessives, some Bilderburger rant, a sprinkling of 'why I hate America' posts and some borderline David Ike nonsense. At the same time three posts I put up covering the uprisings in Bahrain and Syria were hidden. These were researched, contained photographs from local people taken at some personal risk and were an accurate representation of the situation on the ground.

They were hidden.

No explanation, no notification to the Moderation lists and no response to my emails asking why there were removed. They even went from the 'View All Posts' pages.

This has been the last straw and the comment from a friend at an action in London last week only confirmed my view,
"Obsessed with Israel, they don't care about anywhere else in the Middle East"

With so many other media choices right now I am not surprised people are going elsewhere. I will join them

"Israel obsessives"

What you refer to as "the usual Israel obsessives" I would catagorise as some of the most fearless journalism written in this country.

The Zionist control of nearly all the UK media means that any mainstream criticism of Israel is reduced to a few minor items buried by the diet of Pop Idol style distraction that keeps the people compliant and entertained.

The Roman Empire knew 2000 years ago what our Zionist masters know today, keep the people fat, immobile and entertained with others suffering and the elite can continue to increase its wealth.

Until the British people begin to understand just how much of their lives are dictated by Zionist individuals, Zionist run companies and Zionist controlled media operations they will never shake off their chains and regain their freedom.

What is being portrayed to us as a popular uprising in Syria is nothing of the sort, Israel knows it can't win a war against Iran so it is sending Tehran a warning. Stop your development of nuclear power or we will do to you what we are doing to Damascus. The so called revolution is no more than a few well created film shots, combined with efficient briefing of journalists too lazy to establish the real facts. President Assad remains popular with the overwhelming majority of the Syrian people.
