With only one week to go until the 'No to an attack on Iran -No to the arms trade' demo on June the 4th we need all of you to help us get the word out there. The facebook event for June 4th can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/118664884936249/?ref=ts , do invite your friends.
This time we are announcing the route of the demo through the local press (this does not mean negotiationg with, or talking to, the police):
We will have a rally outside Barclays Bank on North Street, Brighton, from 12 noon before walking up North Street, past Churchill Square and along Western Road and Church Road, ending with a rally outside Hove Town Hall. The letter sent to the Argus about the intentions of the demo can be found here: http://bit.ly/KPWih6
We hope to see you all there! (and do let us know if you'll be needing somewhere to crash)
if you want to help out with the demo there are several events to get involved with this week:
Wednesday the 30th: 'Don't attack Iran' themed noise demo, 4-6 outside EDO/ITT on Home Farm Road.
Wednesday the 30th: Open meeting about the June the 4th demo. 6.30pm at the Cowley Club, 12 London Road, Brighton. Everyone is welcome. There are a lot of roles people can take during the demo so please pop by to help out!
Thursday and Friday 31st-1st of June: We'll be in the Cowley to make props for the demo from 11am on both days. We need more creative people! So come along, and if you have any prop making materials laying about bring them along.
