Smash EDO: This week's events

Smasher | 07.05.2012 15:42 | Smash EDO | Afghanistan | Anti-militarism | Palestine | South Coast | World

Join our Critical Mass and Target Barclays actions this week as a part of the Summer Of Resistance. All welcome.

Thanks to everyone who helped the Summer of Resistance kick off with a bang last week. There were noise demos every day at the factory and as well as a phone and twitter blockade of EDO and ITT Exelis. For reports of last weeeks actions see www.smashedo.org.uk

This week there are two pre-publicised events coming up:

Wednesday the 9th of May: 'Bikes not Bombs' criticakl mass. Meet 3pm at the Level. Bring sound systems or music on an MP3 player. If you don't have a bike just come up to the factory for 4pm for the noise demo.

Saturday the 12th of May: A special Target Barclays picket of Barclays in North Street, 1pm. The previous Target Barclays demos have been great so let's make this one even bigger! If you are not in Brighton, consider having a Target Barclays demo in solidarity wherever you are. If you let us know about it we'll help you spread info and can email you a flyer.

And don't forget the big demo in town on June the 4th. 'No to the arms trade, no to an attack on Iran'. Please let us know if you're coming from out of town and need accommodation.

See you on the streets.
