Hot on the Wire: Smash EDO Summer of Resistance Day 3

Smash EDO have called for three months of direct action to close down EDO MBM - From 1st May to 1st August 2012.

Early morning surprise noise demo

Day three of the Summer of Resistance started bright and early with a very noisy surprise demonstration outside the factory gates. Then campaigners took to the web and to the phone lines telling EDO what they think of its dirty business and tweeting EDO MBM's parent company. A quick look at @ITTexelis' twitter profile shows the level of people's anger.

Get real about the real issues of the day. Austerity measures, job cuts, union problems.

I know I am feeding the trolls here, but...I would have thought the problem is that too often people spend too short time on any one campaign and then quickly move on to whatever issue has become fashionable next. The issues are all connected. All campaigns worth pursuing. It is not an either/or.
