U.S Special Forces Unconventional Warfare Manual TC 18 01

‘The intent of U.S. unconventional warfare efforts is to exploit a hostile power’s political, military, economic, and psychological vulnerabilities by developing and sustaining resistance forces to accomplish U.S. strategic objectives.’

TC 18-01 (ibid.) is a step by step guide of how to create, manipulate, co-opt and make use of a countries population, persons of special interest inside the country as well as expatriates, organizations inside as well as outside the country, towards a subversion. Beginning with manipulating dissent into demonstrations, the polarization of a population, riots and armed insurgencies that require action by security forces, and psychological warfare by means of media, step by step, in logical sequence, towards a full scale war, based on humanitarian principles and the pretext of bringing democracy and freedom.

Looks like a propaganda drive in and of itself.

In reality, the US military and political regime is haphazard and generally incompetent. That's why they lost in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Seems a bit rich to suddenly expect to have them release a document like this and for it to be taken seriously. A nation that loses as many wars as the US does not get to claim, even in a document like this, that it is also expert on how to overthrow a government or subdue an insurgency.

This document reads like a bullet-pointed list of things they learned in defeat, and then wrote it all up to make it look like they were always in control from the start!

Very unconvincing. US propaganda has now reached a new low.

Blueprint for Libya and Syria?

Thanks for this leaked document. I've had a quick skim and it looks genuine and seems to be the complete blueprint for the recent devastating, imperialist attack on Libya but could also be applied to Kosovo and perhaps what's currently occurring in Syria (?)

Which is its intended purpose!

The Arab spring is still horribly misunderstood in the west. This is an attempt to 'capitalise' on that misunderstanding.

This is definitely aimed squarely at the leftists.

America wants ownership over the Arab spring and clearly feels that this 'leaked' document will do the job.

Its a feint!
