Militant animal rights activists target Animal Magic Littlehampton

Valerie Pena, Animal Defence Society | 17.04.2012 18:12 | Animal Liberation

This evening the Animal Defence Society anonymously received an email from “The Painter and Decorator” who claimed they had stuck our campaign posters onto the shop windows of Animal Magic Littlehampton. The email said: “I visited Animal Magic Littlehampton and stuck ADS campaign posters to their shop windows. I hate pet shops and I support your campaign. This is a shop which attacked a 15 year old. When you use violence, expect violence in return. This action is my first but I will carry on until Animal Magic stop selling animals. Yours truly, The Painter and Decorator.”

Jake Knight of the Animal Defence Society said: “I want to make it clear that this report was received anonymously and none of our volunteers know the individuals involved. We feel the anger of these individuals.

This company has a history for animal abuse. Animal Magic has deprived animals of veterinary treatment and allowed disease to possibly spread. When companies are exposed in the media, animal lovers feel obliged to take the law into their own hands. We remain committed to peaceful protests outside Animal Magic and campaigning within the law.”.
