A young family from Azerberjan were detained in their home in Glasgow by immigration officials early on Wednesday morning. They are currently in the Barnardos-run CEDARS family detention centre in Sussex. They are due to be forcibly removed on a British Midlands flight from Heathrow at 13.00 hrs TOMORROW to arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku at 22.35 hours.

Immigration officals broke into the family's home on Duke Street in the east end of Glasgow early on Wednesday morning at 7.30 am while the family were still in their beds. Their two year old son woke up with his mother crying and shouting and immigration officials wearing stab-proof vests in his bedroom.

29 year old mum Endalina is five months pregnant, and sufffering from high blood pressure. Speaking to Unity on the phone, her husband Emil told us that she was so distressed about being forcibly removed to Azperbajan
where their lives will be in danger. During the UKBA raid on her house she suffered a thirty minute long panic attack during which time she was restrained by four immigration officials and could not breathe. She now
has badly bruised arms.

Endalina is experiencing severe pain in her stomach and she has been advised by the nurse in Cedars to lie down and not to walk about. Late last night and during today she has been having a pinkish discharge.

We are extremely concerned about Endalina and her baby's well-being and call on the UKBA to immediately suspend the removal flight and to relase the family.

Endalina is only one or two weeks away from being too heavily pregnant to travel as most airlines will not take women who are more than 28 weeks into their pregnancy and the UKBA's own guidelines state that a medical
certificate must be issued showing the mother is fit to fly.

Deportation flights can be stopped!

Please lobby the airline asking them not to take the family on the plane.

Please also contact Vince Barton, Head of Care for Barnados at the Cedars Detention Centre expressing your concern about Endalina's well-being.
