2012: The struggle for Palestine

On Sunday 15th April at 4pm the UNITE offices, Transport House, 211 Broad Street, Birmingham, B15 1AY

2012 has seen the unfolding of important developments in the Palestinian liberation struggle, from the recent Hunger strikes of political prisoners Khader Adnan and Hana Shalabi, to the massive Global March for Jerusalem on 30th March and the release of Marwan Barghouti’s manifesto from an Israeli jail on Land Day.

The meeting will hear up to date reports about these current struggles against Israeli occupation and consider how we how we can develop our solidarity locally and in particular deepen support for Boycott Divestments and Sanctions.
Speakers

Rami Zurayk, is Professor of Agriculture at Beirut University, and will be talking about the struggle for Palestine.

Kamel Hawwash, Vice Chair of PSC will speak on the struggle of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and the significance of current hunger strikes.

Organised by West Midlands Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Right to Resist and Birmingham Stop the War Coalition.
