International Arms Conference disrupted By Ravers

The International UAV (unmanned drones) conference was sponsored by by the University of Bristol and BAE systems.
However, on the first day, mon 2nd april, the conference was successfully disrupted by about 150 local anti arms ravers.

The International UAV (unmanned drones) Conference was to be held for 2 days in Bristol from mon 2nd to weds 4th april.
The conference was sponsored by by the University of Bristol and BAE systems.
However, on the first day, mon 2nd april, the conference was successfully disrupted by about 150 local anti arms ravers who turned up midday, with a live band, managed to get into the building and caused so much noise that eventually the delegates gave up and abandoned the conference at 3.30pm!
It was covered by local ITV.
The protestors/ravers were well versed in non violent actions and were able to have little probelms with the police.

The report says the event was abandoned,

" abandoned the conference at 3.30pm"

A quick google check shows that this was the stated time it was due to close anyway. Not much sense in claiming. A victory when there wasn't one.
