Residential Squatting Criminalised

BHAM | 28.03.2012 08:55

Latest news from Squash campaigners is that squatting in all residential properties has been criminalised, there was no chance of winning a vote for proposed amendments at such a late night Lords vote.

The Legal Aid, Sentancing and Punishment of Offenders Bill will go back to the Commons for consideration of amendments then gains Royal Assent before becoming law, this is expected to be complete by May.

A very big thank you to the Squash campaigners, to all that lobbied on this and to all that help defend squats on the street.
