SOLIDARITY MEANS ATTACK | 27.03.2012 12:27 | Terror War | World

Statement by the "Assembly of solidarity with the R.O. CCF and those prosecuted for the same case", Athens, concerning solidarity with the imprisoned and accused comrades

For three weeks now, 16 comrades accused of involvement in the R.O. Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, either having claimed responsibility for their participation in CCF or having denied any relation with the organization, have been summoned to appear before the interrogators’ duo Baltas and Mokkas as defendants for about 250 actions for which the CCF has claimed political responsibility with communiqués (  http://actforfreedomnow.blogspot.co.uk/2010/12/2008s-communiques-of-conspiracy-of.html ) since 2008.

SOLIDARITY GATHERING

The rage for each conviction of any of our comrades becomes a fire ready to torch the peaceful days and nights in this hostile world. A fire that melts the iron bars of prisons and breaks the isolation of our comrades. A fire that promises it will not allow their incarceration for much longer. A fire that will not go out until all of us are free…

Steel with 2.1% Carbon by weight begins melting at 1130 °C.
You'd need a blast furnace to do this. The fire would probably need to be a lance or something to achieve this.

soften the metal

You would not need to melt the metal. You could simply soften it using heat and it would bend even at a much lower temperature. This happened to the the twin towers in 9/11 and caused their collapse.

You can try this for yourself by putting a 6 inch nail into a fireplace until it is red hot and then bending it.
