*PRESS RELEASE *RSVP - EASTER MONDAY 09 APRIL 1400hrs (2pm) - Come Celebrate the launch of Veterans for Peace UK.
On Easter Monday, Veterans for Peace will officially launch in the UK. Founded in the USA over 25 years ago Veterans for Peace are committed to resisting war through non-violent action.

Speaking about the event, former SAS soldier Ben Griffin said “We live in a society that is constantly bombarded with one view of the wars that we fight. Our soldiers are portrayed as heroes but the many veterans who are critical of war are ignored. After years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and with politicians calling for strikes on Iran, this event will be an opportunity to hear from veterans with a wide range of experience who have seen war first hand and are calling for peace”.

Speaking at the event will be British and American veterans of WW2, Malaya, Vietnam, Northern Ireland, Iraq & Afghanistan.
