Free "Sack Boris" wallets given out at LiverpoolSt

anon@indymedia.org (sackboris) | 21.03.2012 10:55 | London

The official campaign period for the London elections starts on Tuesday 20th March, and we need you to help give Boris Johnson the sack.We gave out thousands of oyster card wallets saying: "Sack Boris" on.

Will you run a Sack Boris Oyster wallet give-away at your local bus, tube or rail station for an hour before or after work this coming Tuesday?

We have literally tons of beautiful new wallets and need help from people all over London to get them out. Email us with your name, phone number, the station you can cover and whether you want to do the morning or evening shift (or both!). We'll get back to you and sort out a pile of wallets for you to give away: email action@sackboris2012.com and we'll get back to you right away.

The question is simple, do we want another four years of rising fares, massive vanity projects costing millions of pounds, police cuts, inaction on London’s housing crisis and a Mayor who stayed on holiday whilst London burned during the worst riots in twenty years?

Londoners deserve better and it's time to get out on the streets and make it happen.

Labour Party 'viral' marketing

21.03.2012 14:20

Piss off, the people of London may not need Boris but they don't need Ken either so get lost with your trendy little marketing gimpy

Vote for "none of the above"

Fuck the Labour Party

21.03.2012 15:34

Big business arse lickers.

Nobody for Mayor

we dont want leaders; we want anarchy

21.03.2012 20:04

No Major, No Government, No Rulers, No State, No Rulers, No Kings, No Leaders, No Law, No Gods.

We want anarchy! Like in Mad Max 2 where everyone just does what they want. Where the strongest and most cunning survive. Bring back survival of the fittest where it is every man/woman for themselves. No exploitation! No Law! No Control! Everyone just do what they want!

You want Anarchy

21.03.2012 20:55

You want Anarchy in the same way that a petulant child wants chocolate - just because you want something doesn't mean you're going to get it, does it, and advocating that Londoners should Sack Boris does not mean people should support the Labour Party by default. To be honest much Anarchist politics is so fucking adolescent I'm really bored of all this, Anarchism as a principle is FINE, but what are you DOING to reorganise society along Anarchist lines, other than just posting on Indymedia that is?

Ian Bone is ....

And who are Common People exactly?

21.03.2012 22:22

"Common People" is the organisation running this campaign. You can be a member just by joining their mailing list!

But...to get to vote at their annual general meeting, (which seems to be the only democratic element in the whole show, other than an 'Advisory Group'), you have to give them money 'via recurring Paypal or direct debit'.

And who actually runs the show? The Board. There's eight of them - members of 'The Green Party, The Labour Party and no party'. That's all it says.

So come on Common People sockpuppets; instead of posting puerile anti-anarchist stuff, give us the names of the board!

"do we want another four years of ... police cuts ...?"

Yes please!

Nice one Boris, didn't realise you did this - maybe I'll vote for you now. ;-)

Indymedia?!

22.03.2012 20:14

Interesting to see an action apparently supported by Indymedia activists being attacked by Anarchists for not being radical enough (comments above). Given how Indymedia constantly spike criticism of the most extreme, least pragmatic forms of Anarchism, heaven forbid Indymedia activists might have supported a moderate campaign for reasons of political PRAGMATISM?!

how a bribocracy works

23.03.2012 11:13

The type of regime in Parliament is technically called a 'bribocracy'. Political parties are funded by donations. People who donate to political parties expect something in return. Political parties promise bribes to the electorate, to get elected. They promise to subsidise public services, for the many at the expense of the few. For this to be achieved, it is be necessary to protect the wealth of the elite at the expense of the masses. Everybody listens carefully to what they are being offered, without a thought as to what will be taken away.

YOU ARE SUBSIDISING BREAD FROM TAXES ON THE BAKER!

So the baker puts his prises up and get's richer, so do you, and the cost of bread escalates. Who is the loser?

Anyway why the fuck should we be be against cuts to the policy force, criminal parasites? Get real!
