tax on future generations

2,900,000,000 of tax payers money is what it's costing to clean up Dounreay, at last count!

Multiply that by 8 new sites = £23,000,000,000, then add the 15 existing sites = 66,700,000,000.

NUCLEAR POWER IS A TAX ON FUTURE GENERATIONS. But don't worry, you won't have to pay, the grand kids'll sort it, (or get put in prison).

When the penny finally drops in Bradwell, Essex; Hartlepool; Heysham, Lancashire; Hinkley Point, Somerset; Oldbury, Gloucestershire; Sellafield, Cumbria; Sizewell, Suffolk; and Wylfa, Anglesey., in 40 years time, it will be a lot more than that. It'd be £447,210,000,000 at an constant inflation rate of 5%, and that would be wishful thinking.

I can't imagine that EDF or any other corporation would want to pay that sort of money to clean up their mess. And add to that the potential cost of accidents. No business would go anywhere near that sort of toxic risk in a free market.

That's why corporate profits are a privilege bestowed by the state on it's mates, rather than anything to do with a free market. It's a case of PRIVET PROFIT, SOCIAL RISK.

When the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, all that will be left is the state, with it's monopoly on violence.

Socialism, fascism, free market, call it what you will, they all amount to the same thing when there is a monopoly on violence is involved.

There is a gun in the room that every body refuses to see.
