Another two weeks, and more, of animal rights campaigning in Nottingham, Newark, Cambridgeshire & Lincolnshire

With the Government dragging its feet over the widely accepted proposal to ban the use of wild animal in Circuses the worst of the lot, the 'great' British Circus, is in out area, currently in Newark and probably soon in Leicester and Nottingham. They have stopped publishing dates and venues in advance so we need to look out for posters announcing where they will be.

Meanwhile the all-human circus American Circus opens on The Forest next Wednesday 14th til Sunday 18th. To enjoy circus skills & thrills without the cruelty, you could watch that instead.

People's Kitchen - every Saturday

A delightful vegan dish is cooked and served at the Sumac Cafe by a different volunteer team each Saturday, with payment by (approx £3) donation.

Saturday 10th March:Rossport Solidarity Dinner:Hearty Irish stew, with greens and home-made soda bread.

The Rossport Solidarity Camp was set up in 2005 to support the campaign against Shell from exploiting gas from protected coastline in County Mayo. The resistance against Shell has been going on for more than 10 years and has managed to consistently mess up Shells plans.
