There is no viable, substantive, vote winning, well supported 'Left' or 'Right' in the UK and the claims by both sides about the other increasingly look like fleas arguing about who owns a bald mans head.

This kind of thing just attracts the kind of people who like confrontation like its somekind of hobby.

Two observations:
1) If the police said, "you can' do it here, but we've allocated a field that you can fight in and we wont interfere", I bet none of these lot would turn up from either side.

3) Most normal people get this hardwired urge out of their system by attending football matches.

This is exactly what happened in Copenhagen Denmark and both sides nearly shat themselves. The local police chief pissed off with having groups running through the city on a Saturday made a public announcement that a former military base had been made available together with a medical team on standby from 9am the following Saturday, the police would not intervene and both sides would be able to have the 'confrontation' they claimed they wanted and which the police always stopped. The reaction from both Left and Right was nearly identical making it all the more funny - they both said they would have a rally and march in the town to protest against it !!!!!

Max you make a good point. UAF for example seem to see fascists everywhere. Do you think they could be a state proxy to harass and intimidate anyone or group who doesn’t adhere to the left/liberal agenda.
