Forest of Dean Wilderness Centre requires urgent suport

Aimee | 02.03.2012 14:29 | Ecology | Education | Public sector cuts

The Protect the Wilderness Centre campaign faces the courts on Monday 5th March against Gloucester Council. We are under immediate threat of eviction. Please help.

The Wilderness Centre anti-closure campaign needs urgent support. If you would like to prevent the sell off of a highly valued environmental education centre in the Forest of Dean, there are a few ways to help:

You can write a letter of support to Protect the Wilderness:  all@protectthewilderness.org.uk.
If this is done before Monday it will go into their case at Gloucester County Court on Monday and be read by the judge.

Secondly, you could come to the court on Monday at 2pm and show your moral support to the occupiers. The council are hoping to evict the occupiers very soon to prevent the Reclaim the Fields happening on 7th & 8th.

Thirdly the Friends of the Wilderness Centre (a local campaign with local people) are raising funds to buy the centre before the end of March and run it as a co-op. They urgently require donations to achieve this. visit www.friendsofthewilderness.org
