A patient was attacked with straps in a bed, and she wasn’t diagnosed until 2 days passed.

in accordance with the Patient Defensor Association, the court has sentenced in the penalty court judgment number 20 of Madrid, to 1 full year of prison to two Psychiatrists of Gregorio Marañon Madrid Hospital for criminal injuries for serious negligence, to diagnose an axiety picture to a woman that suffered from a brain infarction, which led to serious sequels. And obliges to indemnify the victim, with one of the greatest quantities to the date, 880.000 euros.

SHE WAS TIED TO THE BED. -
In the Hospital, she was attended by 2 residents that  did NOT carried out a neurological exploration, and did not listen to the indications of the family about the suffered personal backgrounds 4 years ago. They Consulted the case with the attached Psychiatrist. The patient was transferred to the Psychiatry Ward at 1:30 am from  august 28  to 29 of 2001, where it was recomended to tie her to the bed.

The Association has criticized that “nothing was done despite the symptoms and the insistence of her husband about thepatient had no mental problems and that everything seemed to point towards a stroke ". Finaly at the end of August.29.2001 the suspicions were confirmed.

The Patient Defensor Association has highlighted that the woman had both hands and toes tied up to the bed while crying and babbling trying to communicate. Finaly 2 days after, an order was made to make her a Computed axial tomography (CAT), that determined she suffered from a stroke.
