BBC: Occupy London protest camp eviction under way

Now on BBC, breaking news.

'Police have moved in to remove protesters from the Occupy London site at St Paul's Cathedral.

Occupy London was last week refused permission to appeal against a High Court decision to allow eviction.

Occupy London, which campaigns against corporate greed, set up the camp on 15 October.'

Reported yesterday on LBC (London radio station) that stonemasons who have inspected the St Paul's building this morning estimate 300,000 Pounds worth of damage that will take a year to put right. Some of the deep carvings into the stone will never be able to be repaired. In addition the repeated urine streams over some wood has eaten away the 18th Century carvings and they are lost for ever.

We don't do ourselves any favours sometimes.
