Locals and far right activists have gone on the rampage attacking the take aways involved in the Rochdale grooming case, this could have grave consequences for the local community, Taxi drivers have also been attacked. We need anti fascists to travel to Heywood to decrease the racial tension in the area. 300 locals and right wingers have assembled, this could be the far rights biggest victory to date. police riot vans are in the area, but it appears that the far right have truimphed and are now more devious in organizing activities, and have pulled off a major suprise. It is possible that the far right deceived the police into policing the ajax game, when at the same time planned another event.

So, in response, I (and at least one other Indymedia user) post-up images showing the convicted paedophiles who've been members with the BNP, been friends with BNP leaders, and held leadership positions in the EDL, to show that when it comes to sex abuse these far-right groups havn't got a leg to stand on, and what do Indymedia do? They remove the posts!
Meanwhile, despite "guidelines" which expressly proscribe notices posted on behalf of political parties and hierarchical organisations, Indymedia have yet to remove a thread which calls for "solidarity with Iran" - specifically referring to the "Iranian government" (not to the Iranian people) - despite the fact that the Iranian regime was famously supported by the NF and the fact that the regime is by any standards viciously Fascist -
It's an article of faith among EDL and similar groups that "the left" (by which they include Indymedia) condemn white Fascism while turning a blind eye to Islamo-Fascism, and in this case at least Indymedia seem to be going out of their way to prove the EDL right.

ERM and again NO! Those 90% were certainly not all working class. The fact remains that most working class people DON'T vote! Only 40%-48% of people eligible to vote, voted! And it stands to reason that a large section of that 40%-48% were middle class!
And as for the right being 'out of touch' with the working class...Hmmmm have you been around the factories, football grounds pubs and clubs and asked these people what they really think of immigration/political correctness/European union etc?? I think you may well be in for a shock.
