Robert Green was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment on 17 February 2012. This was after a trial that was unfair and breached Article 6 Human Rights Act. The original charges were unlawful and an attempt by Grampian Police (and others) to silence Robert's campaign.

Robert Green has been campaigning against the paedophile abusers of a girl with Down's Syndrome, Hollie Greig. This occurred in Aberdeen and Hollie named a numner of prominent people as being amongst her abusers. None of these has ever been questioned by Grampian Police, let alone arrested, or charged.

In order to attract attention to the case, Robert stood as an MP in an Aberdeen constituency. He was handing out leaflets in Aberdeen when he was arrested and charged with Breach of the Peace. He was bailed and part of the bail conditions were that he couldn't go near to Aberdeen. Robert was accused of breaching his bail conditions later.

In January 2012, in the hearing at Stonehaven, the Sherriff, Edward Bowen, found Robert guilty of both charges. This was despite the fact that Bowen was involved with Eilish Anglioni, a former Scottish Lord Advocate, in another capacity which he did not declare. At this hearing the prosecuting counsel was seen to pass documents to the Sherriff which had the Masonic symbol on them.

On 17 February, Robert was sentenced by Sherriff Bowen to 12 months imprisonment. He had no previous convictions and is aged 65.
