Occupy London lose court case - call out to help us resist

One of 99% | 22.02.2012 09:59

Our appeal to keep the camp outside St Paul's Cathedral is thrown out by the Court of Appeal.

Occupy London group challenged the High Court's decision which found the City of London Corporation's action to evict the camp was "lawful and justified".

Justice Lindblom granted the City orders of possession and injunctions.

The decision of the three judges to refuse the application means the corporation is now free to enforce the possession order and evict the camp.

We are preparing resistance but the police presence is already higher in the surrounding streets so we are expecting an attack today. We need people NOW to help defend the camp and our work.

Three specialist vehicles parked nearby - lots of tension right now as people fight to get back to camp from High Court to stop the eviction.

Please go home now!

Go home you losers. The vast majority of people see you as a bunch of failures. Which you are. Regardless of what happens today the government are going to rush emergency legislation through parliament to 'clean up' London in time for the Olympics. Every host nation has done it and London will be no exception. Now please go but before you do give the money the public has donated to you to the genuinely homeless and poor people who have found their way to your 'camp'. Buy them food, buy them new clothing, take them to St Mungos and other homeless charities and make sure that they are properly looked after and then you can go home to Notting Hill.

I agree it is high time this protest ended

22.02.2012 18:50

It's about time this protest was brought to an end..........it's becoming extremely boring and is just another excuse for layabouts not to take a bath. Tourists don't pay to come to London to see a gang of the great unwashed clogging up the entrances to our prime tourist sites. The point was made months ago and now it's time to move on. No, I'm not a city worker making a fortune from the British puplic, I'm just an old age pensioner trying to get by on the State pension and those idiots outside St Pauls aren't helping me one bit.
