Yet more public money for Peel Holdings

anon | 18.02.2012 20:07 | Liverpool

Merseytravel has taken the decision to spend 2.4mill per year in rent at the new Mann Island 'Granite' development. The contract ties the public body to the site for 30 years meaning the public body will pay double the present value of the property at todays prices but without owning anything at the end.

The decision was taken in secret without any comment from Liverpool councillors or MP's- welcome to democracy UK style!

Peel Holdings is owned by John Whittaker, a billionaire who lives on the Isle of Man. This is no doubt to avoid paying any taxes in the UK.

Liverpool stands to lose its status as World Heritage Site due to the planned redevelopment of the dock areas by Peel Holdings.

Why does the council allow this destruction to get permission from them? They are acting against the interests of the people of Liverpool as well of the country as a whole.

It stinks of Freemasons.

Militant.
