Occupy London and the eco-warriors are in the Court of Appeal RIGHT NOW applying for a stay of execution on the order to evict St Paul's protest camp and we have until 4pm to get an injunction otherwise the eviction can legally begin almost immediately.
Occupy London is being represented by Bindmans and the eco-warriors have the Planning and Environment Bar Association of 4-5 Grays Inn Square advising us as separate defendants.at the appeal hearing.
Two of the eco-warriors have come down from Nottingham to present the court with a copy of the original charter proving that the land the camp is on was gifted to the Church of England years ago and is not the property of the City of London Corporation.
If we succeed in obtaining an appeal hearing there will be a stay of execution on the imminent eviction until the appeal is heard.
If we do not succeed in persuading the Appeal Court judges that we have a case then the City of London will be able to call in the riot police at any time after 4pm this afternoon.
