Tinlings Ltd make eviction threats against Occupy Liverpool

Eviction threats against Occupy Liverpool.

This morning Occupy Liverpool received a letter from business law firm DWF,
representing Tinlings Ltd, requesting that we "vacate the premises" by 1pm,
today, 25th January 2012.

They incorrectly allege that we "unlawfully broke into" Tinlings Building. In
fact, Merseyside Police inadvertently provided access to the building for Occupy
Liverpool, and we have video evidence to prove it.

Apparently, if we do not leave the building, DWF, on behalf of Tinlings Ltd will
issue proceedings for an Order of Possession.

Occupy Liverpool must stress that it is an OFFENCE to use force or threats
against the legal occupation of Tinlings.

"Squatting" is a CIVIL matter to be resolved in the civil courts between the
squatters and the owners.

It is an OFFENCE to force entry to a building which is occupied, and this
includes squats.

Just in case they do try on their underhanded tactics, we ask that all building
Occupiers make their way to the Tinlings Building & that Occupy supporters keep
an ear/eye out for further developments via Mersey Activists,
 https://www.facebook.com/OccupyLiverpool and  https://twitter.com/#!/OccupyLiverpool

Also, a REMINDER: There will be an important Occupy Liverpool General Assembly
tonight at 6pm at Tinlings. Everbody welcome. See you there!
