Casuals united intend to attack Leeds anti-fascist film festival

It has been brought to the attention to of anti-fascists that the street thugs of casuals united intend to disrupt the Leeds anti-fascist film festival that takes place on the 4th and 5th of feb, a number of you may be aware that a massive amount of work has been put into this festival, now convicted football thug Jeff Marsh has vowed to spoil a weekend of fun and entertainment by sending a firm of football thugs to sabotage the event. Marsh a self styled hooligan and self employed builder from wales has vowed a no platform for "commies" and that all anti fascist activity is to be disrupted, this has happened already in Brighton and Leeds rage against racism event, and a number of UAF meetings, although the incidents were attributed to the EDL, chances are that it was Marsh`s thugs that were responsible.

On this particular weekend many football casuals will be travelling through Leeds to attend the Leicester demo, also the Northern infidels will be in the region, this could result in a double fascist attack on the film festival, we can`t allow these thugs to intimidate us anymore, despite the threats from the fascist menace we must not give into these people, this is a very real chance for ordinary members of the public to get actively involved in anti-fascism.

A number of films will be shown from other countries documenting how fascism has been defeated, and this actually tells us that every time fascism appears it is defeated,if the thugs of the NWI and casuals turn up then they will be defeated in the same way that Hitler was defeated, we say no to Anders Breivek, we say no to holocaust deniers, we say no to Casuals united and the NWI, NO PASARAN!

NWI have said they are doing an undisclosed demo that weekend and convicted nazi thugs like ste latimer diddyman snowy and other vermin are sure to want to attack this festival we cant let it happen people

it was these that attacked the occupy camps in liverpool and newcastle they are serious thugs if we cant get adequate security weve got to call it off peoples safety has to come first

The EDL or whatever they're calling themselves are going to be very disapointed if they have to miss their other demo due to tripping up over a pavement, repeatedly.

...not the EDL, please anyone but them or the NWI. It could be worse it could be the CID or the IRS or the STI or the MRSA or the HN51. Get a fucking grip!

In fact the EDL will be more welcome than the UAF, a bit more entertaining anyway.

Really?

After all the raging and hating towards coppers someone is suggesting going crying to the coppers. Come on, it's to be expected. We attack fascist gatherings so it's to be expected that they'll do the same as us.

If they arrive, teach them not to come again. Don't go crying to the coppers about it.

It's pathetic. I sometimes worry about the Anti-Fascist movement in this country. Seems to now consist of mainly middle-class kids who haven't got a clue.

I thought EDL denied being fascists, so why are they opposed to anti-fascists?

EDL are always saying they aren't fascists, they are just against Islamic extremism. So why should they give a shit about an anti-fascist film festival?

And they always claim to be "loyalists" too, so presumably were against Hitler's fascism during WW2. And they claim Islamic fundamentalism is fascist too (which it is, like all religious extremism, kind of).

So surely they should be just the kind of people who would be interested in watching the films!?

If anyone would like to help out in any way with the festival they are welcome to contact Leeds ABC. Indymedia is not the place to be discussing security and while it is undoubtedly well-meant we would prefer if this had not been posted here.

The programme for the festival will be released shortly and it should be a great weekend so please try and get along.
