Defend Occupy London Stock exchange from eviction

OccupyLSX | 10.01.2012 13:38 | Occupy Everywhere

Tomorrow on the 11th of January, the High Court in the Strand is likely to service an injunction to the Occupy London Stock Exchange camp on behalf of the Corporation of London ordering it to move from the site outside St Paul's Cathedral. We want as many people as possible to come down and help defend the site from eviction.

Eviction is expected within days of the court judgement. We intend to make the eviction as difficult as possible by calling on thousands of people to turn up at the camp to defend it. We call for passive resistance only as we do not want to use any violence. We call on people to passively stand and sit in front of the camp with arms linked to block the police and bailiffs. Get down here from the evening of the 11th of January onwards.

Time to call it a day

Occupy was a good idea but it soon went downhill and has now become an embarrassment to us all.

Time to refocus and choose a new path.

Is Occupy Totally Crap?

'Occupy London to welcome back Parliament with ‘executive pay’ teach out at FSA in Canary Wharf
* All invited to join Occupy London with Labour Lord Maurice Glasman, Conservative MP Steve Baker, representatives of RBS Shareholders Group plus Gordon Kerr of Cobden Partners to debate ethics of executive pay, personal liability and corporate accountability
* Hector Sants, CEO of FSA also invited to attend..'

With this as the latest Occupy event, why would anyone bother to defend this 'movement'? Answers on a postcard here please.

why don't you quit carping from the sidelines and put on the events there you'd like to see, or else think about diversity and openness and whether you'd prefer to be a vanguard!

You equally don't have to be uncritically supportive; that'd be daft.

Feeling like I was banging my head against an ever growing wall makes me not what to put more energies in. But this would not make me a vanguard.

By 'diversity and openness' you mean putting up with a lot of liberal and crap ideas like talking to MP's, Lords, FSA geeks and other slimeballs instead of realising that the power lies with us and we already have enough to share with each other. And that we have to deny those slimeballs the power they have.
