Sheffield Somali Community Protest at Social Services Removal of 13 Year Old

There was a protest on 9th January outside Sheffield Family Court, by members of the Somali community about a police / social services raid which involved about 20 police battering down the front door of a family home in Broomhill and the forceful removal of Nimo from her family.

Protesters complained that the mother, Mako, did not have a fair hearing as she was not provided with a translator and that the family was living in fear of the state.
