A New Years Human Rights Message

As a New Year arrives, we imagine better things for ourselves and those we care for. Another year has run its course; the future holds possibilities of great promise for an improving world.

The past year, the message of the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights was delivered to many young students in the Tampa Bay Area. Their eyes were opened and their minds were challenged by the knowledge they received. Young people have witnessed issues that affect their lives - and education and awareness helps improve the prospects for a better future.

The abuses of intolerance affect the lives of so many people in Tampa Bay, including bullying, sexual discrimination, religious, racial and more.

Recognizing the issues helps, and education and awareness and delivering the message of Human Rights, and spreading the message far and wide will make 2012 a year of hope, progress and a better world for our entire community here on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

This message is from Youth for Human Rights Florida. Inspired by the humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard who stated: “Human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream”.We will be working for a better world in 2012. Happy New Year!!!
