EDL member Ross Gilbert also calling himself “Ross William Michael English” has been arrested after leaving a message on his Facebook page claiming to have planted a bomb in Birmingham Central Mosque.
At around 5:15 this morning (12 December) a warrant was executed at an address in Rugeley, Staffordshire and a 25-year-old man was arrested.
A thorough search of the mosque was carried out by police, including specialist search dogs that are trained to search for explosives, but nothing untoward was found in the building.
He is currently still in police custody as police carry out an investigation.
A few days ago two EDL members were sentenced to 10 years in prison for setting fire to the Regent Road mosque in the Hanley area of Stoke-on-Trent https://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/birmingham/2011/12/490039.html
