Campaigners are calling for a 30 second moment of silence to be held for Snip Nua at 21:40 on December 2011 to mark the second anniversary of her death.
It is hoped the event will be marked at Greyhound stadia worldwide in memory of Snip Nua and the countless other dogs who suffer a similar fate at racetracks.
A thirty second moment of silence is being proposed because that was the temporal duration of the race in which she was injured and subsequently destroyed.
Snip Nua was partly owned by Comedian Dara O'Briain and featured on the BBC's 'Three men go to Ireland' show. The show was broadcast several weeks after her death at Dublin's Harolds cross stadium.
