UWE Occupation

At 2.30pm today students from the University of the West of England (UWE) went into occupation on St. Mattias Campus. The occupation is within the universities buildings.

This is being done as part of the National Campaign against Fees and Cuts, the Education Activist Network and in support of those on strike nation wide.

We stand in solidarity with many similar student occupations that occurring nationwide, and are supporting the waves of public sector strikes on the 30th.

This is the second such occupation of UWE, with an occupation in opposition to fee rises last year, from November 19th through till 17th December.

More updates soon.
