Sparks demo leads to occupation of Grattes Brothers Head Office

The Sparks weekly picket and demo became an occupation this morning as the group of 200 or so barricaded a door at the Grattes Brothers Head Office.

It was announced two hours ago that the sparks demo were in occupation after earlier blocking the road and delivery entrance to the King's Cross site and at Shephard's office.

The latest news however is unclear and it is unknown if the occupation is still ongoing.

What is clear though is that is becoming one of the most militant struggles here at the moment and should be supported by our movements.

It's almost certainly not worth going down as a socialist group has written to confirm that "The London occupation ended as workers marched out together."

Article by Simon Basketter is available online and is likely to be true as sadly there always seems to be more trots on these demo than autonomous activists. I guess we've got a few occupations going of our own but there's never been a greater need to support workers in struggle and promote anarchist solutions. I hope to see more people on the sparks' weekly demos in the future.
