23 November · 19:00 - 22:00
University of Liverpool, The Courtyard, Student's Union (Guild)

PSC and Liverpool Friends of Palestine are very excited to welcome Palestinian-American radical performance poet Remi Kenazi to Liverpool for one night only!

Remi is a radical anti-imperialist performance poet who will be performing poems from his new book: Poetic Injustice: Writings on resMartistance and Palestine, which will also be available to purchase on the night (a PSC exclusive).

After the performance there will be a presentation, discussion and Q and A about Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, why it is necessary and how to implement it. Tackling Israeli Apartheid is an area fraught with difficulties. Questions such as 'How do we identify complicit corporations' and 'Who or what is boycottable' are often misunderstood, we will be addressing these, along with other questions regarding the fight for justice for the Palestinian people.

Designed to be accessible to those new to the Palestine question along with more seasoned activists; this promises to be an unmissable lively, educational discussion. After the debate, Remi will meet people and sign copies of his book, which can be purchased from us on the night. We will also be selling Palestinian olive oil, scarves, books, badges, flags and giving out free literature on Palestine!

Discussion panel (provisional):

Chair: John Davies Actor, lecturer and BDS activist.
Maeve McDaid: President of Liverpool Student's Union.
Greg Dropkin: BDS activist and Trade Unionist

Tickets: Pay on door, many of Remi's gigs have sold out in advance so please arrive early as we will have to close the doors as soon as we reach capacity for health and safety reasons.
