Help Needed at Occupy London

#occupylsx #occupy #occupylondon | 30.10.2011 00:29 | Occupy Everywhere

Volunteers are needed at the St Paul occupation, this afternoon there was an urgent need for people to help with Tranquility, who are doing essentially site "Security". Help is especially needed after dark.

For example we've had somebody awake for 72 hours trying to keep the site safe. This afternoon they were down to 7 members, ideally they would need about 30, so they are pulling double and triple shifts

Also there is a need for help with the first aid, info-desk and recycling team, but those are less urgent.

Directly message heads of major corporations

30.10.2011 10:34

A new website run in conjunction with Occupy Wall Street allows users to directly message heads of major corporations. Thousands of Americans who were badly hit by the recession have been able to directly message the most powerful figures in the country's top financial institutions via a new website set up as part of the Occupy movement. So far, almost 7000 people have sent messages via OccupytheBoardroom.org directly into the inboxes of figures like Lloyd Blankfein, chief executive of Goldman Sachs, Vikram Pandit, CEO of Citigroup and Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase

same situ here too, a constitution to back up tranquility, wellbeing& security at all camps would be nice, before it all goes to complete shite. We may have weekly political mtgs involving as many people as possible,as daily mtgs are usually just on campo issues, are you doing something similar??

Just an idea, to regain some focus. Good luck to the dedicated people there.

More occupations

Yep, I think we need to keep moving. More occupations in different places. The authorities might not be too happy with the camp of St Pauls, but it is convenient for them in a way to have people settled and under control. Having camps popping up all over the place would push them a lot harder.

that st pauls was the stock exchange in the years immediately prior to the english civil war. fact. so the occupation on its door step is very apt in my opinion. solidarity to those involved in the camp.
