Anarchists Burn Car Show Room

Recently Anarcho's in Cambridge destroyed a car sales business in furtherance of teh social war taking place around the globe. Following text taken from Cambridges News website.
Anarchists have claimed responsibility for the "fire-bombing" of a family-run Cambridge car dealership.
Detectives are investigating the claims after six cars were torched at GP Motors in Eltisley Avenue, Newnham, which spread to the main showroom.
A group called the "Fire Cell" made the claim to have started the fire on the Cambridge Anarchists’ website.
Director Richard Palmer said the fire, which happened in the early hours of Tuesday (Oct 11) last week, could cost the 31-year-old firm £80,000.
Mr Palmer is appalled by the claims and believes there could be some truth behind them.
He told the News: "They knew that two cars had been torched and said they hoped the fire would spread to others, which it did, so it seems they have some knowledge about it.
"I am just angry about the whole thing. They have targeted the wrong people. We are a family business and we don’t have much money.
"I am a bit relieved it wasn’t anything personal but I am still angry that lives could have been put at risk."
The message by the Fire Cell on the anarchist website said: "Two cars at the GP Motors dealership in Newnham, Cambridge, were arsoned – we hope the flames spread to the others, bringing a roaring inferno to the quiet leafy streets."
"No one was outside, the only sign of the middle-class residents awake was the blue glow of TV screens from curtained windows!
"While the insurrectionary action cell had adrenaline pumping, joy in the heart, the moon shining bright above and the refreshing night air."
A message supporting the criminal action said: "Here at Cambridge Anarchists we doff our collective caps to the spirit of this action. There can be only more. Solidarity with the Fire Cell."
A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: "We have been made aware of this information and investigations continue. At this stage no-one has been arrested in connection with the arson.
"We continue to urge people with information about those responsible to contact police."

if its true, then i do accept it ws perhaps a tad 'jumpin the gun'. i was merely happy that apparently anarchists in cambridge were fighting back against the car industry. please accept my apology, no trolling intended. i dont have ready access to news and when i saw the story i thought id republish it here to show anarchists that act that they are not alone. if the former employee used anarchist style communique, well then yes, he/she's a dick for doing that to bring heat to comrades in cambs. although, its still a good thing the place got burned down, in my opinion..........

Under his mis-direction, Green Anarchist published articles supporting the British Army in Iraq, and the magazine later went on to support mass-murderer Timothy McVeigh, poison gas attacks by the Japanese cult Aum Shinrykyo, and the serial killer Ted Kaczynski, who is predictably also praised in Datacide magazine's agent-provocateur spin-off shit-rag 325 magazine. Timothy McVeigh had a huge infuence on Nazi nailbomber David Copeland - both were directly inspired by a Nazi genocide book called The Turner Diaries, written by BNP conference delegate William Pierce (using the pen-name "Andrew Macdonald"). Indymedia is being used to repeat the same trick.

Maybe it was anarchos, maybe it wasn't, but I don't see why there needs to be an automatic dismissal of these kinds of reports as the work of the state. Anarchists don't always agree on tactics or targets.
Also some employee being nicked doesn't prove anything. Ever been wrongfully arrested before?

And, by the by, even if someone had been arrested, that wouldn't necessarily mean that they had actually done anything at all. Would it?
Maybe its a lie posted by a cop.

but anyhoo, thanks again debbie locke and disinfo dave, your solidarity is welcomed.
and @Kali, although you are correct, spies and trolls and AP's come in all shapes and sizes, i assure you i am a committed social revolutionary and like i said, maybe i jumped the gun a bit on this one and apologised. please accept my apology as meaning i am a genuine IM user, not a retarded police offcier or right wing troll. ta.

operating in cells, and carrying out 'actions' like these do not garner the support of workers, ffs it's like you are living out some kind of fantasy from the film terminator where you are the resistance. our strength is in numbers, not minority IRA style cells, and change comes through taking control of our workplaces and communities. and defending these gains - with violence if need be, not by running about at night dressed like Ninjas and setting fire to shit.
grow the fuck up.

It was done by some pissed off bloke who had a dispute with the owners about his pay and got sacked. He's been arrested, charged and has admitted the offence.

Praxis / Datacide take note - being able to write purple prose about John Carpenter films does not mean you have a rounded understanding of popular culture, and vanity publishing a few dozen unpopular techno 12"s does not mean you understand the people you closet vanguardists hoped to lead into your ((quote)) "proletarian counter-culture"

“insurrectionary action cell” – what, you and your twelve year old mates? How can attacking a local, family run business possibly be considered “hit[ting] the bastard system” except in the deranged mind of a psychopath? I take it you couldn’t afford the bus fare out to Marshalls!

I came here following the Cambridge Evening News article expecting to find some deeper reasoning behind the attack in this statement beyond ‘step 1 – burn stuff, step 2 – ???, step 3 – freedom and equality for all’.
I’ve been expecting to see direct resistance to the sorry state of things for some time and am disappointed by the arrogance of this little statement and dehumanisation of the public who are.. your enemies? the people you want to save? it’s not even clear..
Undoubtedly this act was powerfully liberating at a personal level to step over the lines and do such a thing but I would love some more introspection from those involved and a bit of intellectual weight behind your actions (but then again I’m not overly familiar with the anarchist movement, do you excuse yourselves from having to explain such things?)

Attacking GP motors wasn’t a strike at the system, it was pure mindless vandalism. Your obvious lack of brain cells highlights that people such as you deserve the prison term you will inevitably get. Your numbers have been infiltrated and you will pay…. watch your back, your friends are not really your friends.

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Why do you ‘doff your caps to the spirit of this action’? These idiots caused £80,000 of damage to a family-run firm which, as I understand it, makes a large portion of its money from providing mobility solutions for the disabled. Why not do a Tescos or Starbucks or something instead? Ahhh Yeah… expensive CCTV and alarm systems plus they’re not generally located in quiet little back streets where the rent is nice and cheap for a struggling small business. Yeah, you really stuck it to the man there guys, I hope you’re fucking proud of yourselves.

You sound like sexually frustrated little vandals blowing shit up, any cause will do so long as it justifies your pent up hormonal anger and agressive behaviour. Anarchy isnt the fight against society its the struggle to make a better one. The people you`re attacking are in the same boat as you, and are being oppressed by the same powers as you. Identify your enemy before you start a fight. Knobs!!

seems to me that you little mugs have taken your definition of anarchy straight from a sex pistols track.Perhaps you should grow up and think about more productive ways to change the system. There`s a big difference between political activists and acts of straight forward vandalism. In the words of a mr Steve Ignorant `fight war,not wars` PLEBS!!

IAF / Cell of Joy claim arson attack against prison vehicle in Nottingham (UK)
12 October 2011
A visit to Nottingham Prison last night [12/10] culminated in a fire being started underneath a prison vehicle. It had just gone nine when we arrived and after tagging some nearby walls with the messages of “Fire to the Prisons” and “Solidarity to those kidnapped”, we quickly and quietly stepped to the vehicles, lit our fires and took off quickly into the night.
This attack was not a request, or a demand that the prisons improve, or that the judicial system becomes more fair. We attacked because our comrades have been kidnapped, and we will show solidarity in anyway we can. Solidarity to all those captured during and after the riots, to the anti-fascists imprisoned because of the usual web of lies spun by the cops and their pals, and to all those who feel the urge to resist whenever the moment seems ripe. We did this in order to show solidarity with the actions of the IRF Bristol’s action at the Law courts a few nights ago, and to our Cambridge brothers and sisters acting with such fierce love and rage.
The prisons are where they hold us when they can not control us, they are the threat they hold over us, but what they can not understand is that the greater threat to us is for us not to act. For us to be stifled by the conditions and the conditioning of this society. When we act in away that unleashes our rage, when we act in away that brings us joy then we are able to unleash a glorious FUCK YOU! A FUCK YOU with blood and spittle, a FUCK YOU directed plainly at those who benefit most from this diseased social system.

Cambridge Anarchists – i do not know how you can support this action – I’ve even worked with you in the past – but I consider this ill-conceived action totally disgusting – I refuse to support anyone that would condone or approve of cowardly actions such as this against good people – whoever carried out this action – you FAIL
