5 minute boycott planned across Football League this saturday

WILL GIDSTONE | 25.10.2011 22:49 | Culture | Globalisation | Social Struggles

Football fans across the country are joining together this saturday 29th October under the banner of The 72 Unite to protest against plans to overhaul the youth academy system to the benefit of the richer clubs.

Another case of the rich getting richer

The 72 Unite is made up of representatives of clubs from across the football league who have come together at short notice to fight off new legislation which heavily weights the rules concerning youth academies in the favour of the elite clubs.

The new rules in question place even more power in the hands of bigger clubs allowing them to steal promising young players for next to nothing, taking away a valuable income source of smaller clubs.

The group have released a communique (posted below) in which they outline plans for a 5 minute boycott by ALL fans of ALL football matches in the football league that kick off at 3PM this saturday to raise attention to the issue.

the communique in full:
----------------------------------We 'the 72 unite', made up of fans from the Football League are angered by, and at a loss to explain, the news today that the proposed legislative changes to the existing academy systems have been voted in favour of.

In the current financial climate with the divide between rich and poor widening on a daily basis, Modern Football continues to be an exaggerated version of the overall global picture. THE RICH CONTINUE TO GET RICHER, WHILE THE POOR SUFFER.

Lower league football is dying, starved by Premier League greed and excess. Attendances are down, and clubs will soon cease to exist, unable to balance the books to survive let-alone compete with the elite.

The lifeblood of Football League clubs are their successful academy systems, some of which have supported and sustained clubs for many years, producing local, homegrown talent representative of the area and fanbase. Today’s ruling cuts this essential lifeblood at the arteries and will signal the death knoll, the final nail in the coffin for the survival of Professional Football outside the Premier League.

In response we are calling for action from EVERY FAN at EVERY MATCH on Saturday 29th October 2011 to UNITE, rise-up and fight for the very existence of their clubs. It’s NOW OR NEVER we must let the Premier League and FA know we will not be trampled on.

EVERY FAN, EVERY GAME – BOYCOTT FIRST FIVE MINUTES TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THIS AND SHOW THE STRENGTH OF OPPOSITION TO PROPOSALS

Our game, that was first played by teams of workers representing railway companies and factories, mining villages and the like, has become a mega masonic money laundering operation.

The theme to the Champions Lodge competition is the bleeding Royal Coronation Anthem first played at the Coronation of Arch freemason free loader from the Rosicrucian Hannover parasite royal family. WTF has that got to do with "Working Class Game" ?
The title of the track is Zadok the Priest,  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zadok_the_Priest

Zadok annoints the head of Masonic hero King Solomon. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon's_Temple

WTF does some Russian billionaire oir Arab Oil Sheik feel he needs to pump millions of his ill gotten gains into a football team ? what's innit for them ?

BOYCOTT FIRST FIVE MINUTES

Won't happen, most people are very happy about Premier League football and despite moaning about the costs nearly all the clubs have long waiting times for season tickets so clearly people can afford the prices.

As for the training system, who cares ? The clubs will do what is needed to produce good players or they will lose games. That's how markets work.

whooops...

I think you've completely missed the point, this is about the football league not the premierleague...
what an utterly sloppy response based on a complete misunderstanding of ANY of the main salient points.

Look at the silly leftys pretending they are "workers" haha MUGS the average football fan has more in common with the EDL than anything you morons stand for. And you have sneered and scowled at "sun reading, lager drinking chavs" on your sites for years. Good luck with this bullshit campaign, hardly any real "workers" read these sites anyway and they wont jump just because some spoilt marxist mummys boy says so.
