The Week of Auctions: Services under the hammer

Stop the sell-off of ALL public services | 24.10.2011 16:32 | Globalisation | Public sector cuts | Oxford | Sheffield

The government is planning to sell off ALL our public services - join the ‘Week of Auctions’ to protest!

Yes, you heard it right. The Opening Up Public Services White Paper ( http://www.openpublicservices.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/) recently brought out by the coalition, will mean all public services (except the military and judiciary) can be run by private companies.

Anti-cuts groups have already begin to galvanise against the plans ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/aug/19/say-no-to-private-sector). Groups around the country are jointly organising a ‘Week of Auctions’ to fight this government policy.

**If you didn’t like the selling off of the NHS, you ain’t seen nothing yet.**

This is the time we’ll look back on and say ‘that was the moment that everything changed’. Don’t stand still and let it happen.
