The was a constant presence of police. Indeed, some Anonymous Members were temporally arrested because they were wearing masks. During he rest of the gathering (at least until 4pm) the police were only focus in telling the occupiers not to block Victoria Square stairs.
The event coincided in place and time with the Birmingham Food Festival at Victoria Square so that many people contact the occupiers and ask for information and many people was aware of the protest.
